Knight Frank amalgamates its property asset management businesses

31 March 2016

Real estate consultancy Knight Frank Singapore will amalgamate its property asset management businesses — Knight Frank Estate Management and Knight Frank Asset Management — with effect from 1st April 2016. Following the amalgamation, the entities will operate under the name Knight Frank Property Asset Management (KFPAM) and have a total staff strength of over 450.

The amalgamation will make KFPAM one of the largest property and asset management companies in Singapore with a portfolio of 130 strata-titled developments (with over 28,000 units) and six million square feet of commercial space, across 31 projects — retail, office, industrial and State. Please refer to Annex A for a list of KFPAM’s key projects.

KFPAM will have two major lines of business, Strata Management and Asset Management. Strata Management will be headed by Managing Director, Mr Foo Suan Peng, and will focus on the management of strata titled properties. Asset Management will be headed by Managing Director, Mr Peter See-Toh, and will primarily focus on the management of single-owner properties.

KFPAM’s Strata Management’s services will include common area management, landlord-tenant services which include leasing, re-sale, rent collection and general management, as well as property development consultancy services; specifically in the areas of maintenance and management.

KFPAM’s Asset Management will provide a suite of services which include leasing and tenant management, facility management, marketing communications, finance and human resource management across commercial, retail and residential assets. KFPAM’s Asset Management will also provide specialised retail services, including mall repositioning and consultancy, trade and tenant mix and asset enhancement initiatives.

“The amalgamation will position us well for future growth and new business opportunities — particularly in town council and commercial real estate management. With the consolidation of our expertise and resources, we also aim to further enhance our service standards and productivity. Ultimately, our goal is to deliver quality property asset management services to our existing and prospective clients,” says Mr Tan Tiong Cheng, Executive Chairman of Knight Frank Singapore.
